To prove it, we created a game of Truth, Dare or Dollar. A branded Effect on TikTok that invited friends to take turns spilling the tea, completing mischievous dares and if they wanted out, they had to send their friend a dollar.
The game was activated by Gen Z’s favorite creators; @pierson, @lexibrookerivera, @dtay.known and more resulting in over 106M views, 239K+ engagements and over 23,308 hours of game play.
In a social economy where capturing attention is harder than ever, we took a classic game and gave it a unique brand spin. But Cash App’s integration wasn’t self-serving – it was utility. Having the option to Cash App your way out upped the stakes of the game, giving people a playful out when they didn’t want to spill the tea or complete a dare.
